Why does aviva have a fake leg

Fans of the show will remember the hilarious and shocking scene where the former housewife flung her prosthetic leg at her costars during the season finale. Aviva had been fighting with Heather Thomson after she and some of the other housewives claimed she made up having asthma so she didn't have to go on cast trips. When Heather got in Aviva's face, the year-old told her that the only thing "fake or artificial about her" was her leg as she slammed it on the table before flinging it at Heather.

Unfortunately, Aviva was only in the show for season 5 and 6 before being booted and replaced with Bethenny Frankel, who made a comeback. One of the most popular Real Housewives stars is Aviva Drescher — but what exactly happened in that freak leg accident? That explosive scene where she throws her prosthetic leg across the room definitely goes down as one of the best moment in TV history — but how exactly did she lose her leg?

Credited as being a philanthropist, author, businesswoman, and full-time mother she is a woman of many talents. At the time she had young children at home and doing press and the show became more than a full-time job.

But she left the cast and fans with a parting gift when she lobbed her leg across the room during an elegant event at Le Cirque. She told the podcast hosts why she threw the leg.

And I just wanted to entertain people. And it got a lot of controversy. Can you wear sandals? Do you have fake toes?

But all of this has done little to hamper Aviva. I am lucky to wear a prosthesis. Amputees can do anything anyone else can. Wearing a prosthesis to me is what it feels like for others to put on a pair of glasses. If I can transfer this ease to other amputees, than I have successfully given back. Through my foundation [One Step Ahead] I can help other people, especially kids, to lead normal lives.

I am grateful to live such a fulfilling life with 4 amazing children and an incredible and devoted husband. This foundation will especially focus on children with limb loss and provide them with the means to participate in various athletics.

She is also the full-time mother of four children Harrison, 10, Veronica, 9, Hudson, 4, and Sienna, 1. Oh, and did I mention Aviva has a propensity for doling out great one-liners? And great motivational words of wisdom as well!
