Where is valuebasket.com based

So under the italian law. Unreliable site, stay away. I purchased a laptop for my daughter's christmas and received an email couple days later saying it was on the way. I thought, great. A week later I got worried and phoned, got through to a call centre based in asia somewhere who I couldn't communicate very well with. I got told they are dealing with it.

Another week later, same story. I got worried that this might be a scam and doubted that I would ever see the laptop or my money again. I contacted my bank and raised a dispute for them to investigate.

Meanwhile I noticed there was someone answering questions on their Facebook page. I told them that if I found that it was a scam and I lose my money, I would post a message to all of my followers.

They soon shifted and gave me a refund. I can't believe sites like this exist. I have ordered regrettably from valuebasket. Reading here and trustipilot lots of horror stories. These guys dont deserve to be in business, they think they can rip people off here in UK and are safe from any recourse in asia. Terrible company and terrible people. Just absolutely wrong. This website will be shut down sooner or later.

Still waiting for credit. Camera ordered from valuebasket. Please rest assured we are working diligently to resolve this matter as soon as possible. We will be in touch promptly once an update has been made available. Your anticipated patience and understanding in the matter is welcomed. Dont ever buy from Valuebasket I ordered a nokia smartphone lumia on 7th january and they immediately debited the euros from my account.

And after days of emails to the customer service with no proper response, they told me that they are doing quality check on m product before sending and then after almost 3 weeks they emailed me saying that the order has been out of stock. So far they had been fooling me saying that its under quality check and out of no where they said its out of stock, LIARS!.

And now it has been more than 2 weeks since i have cancelled my order and no sign of refund yet, they are giving same useless replies in email, i will be going to my bank for VISA fraud. Instead spend another 50 bucks. I forgot to check the review of this site before buying. Always do a review check of the site from which you are buying. Their website quoted days for dispatch.

When it had not even been dispatched I cancelled the order and demanded a refund. They told me I would have my refund in days. And no refund has been made. I have now sent this company in excess of 30 emails since the order was first placed.

All I get in return is a reply which although polite is full of lies! I have now checked Valuebasket out on many online review sites and unfortunately my experience of them stealing my money is not uncommon.

The internet is littered with accounts of Valuebasket taking an order, and payment for goods which never arrive. Tracked immediately, paid quickly. Great merchant! Bought Nikon SLR as package was cheaper by far than elsewhere. Slow delivery. Product arrived after several weeks from Hong Kong.

Chasing emails were not answered. Camera had a UK adapter. Not a problem, but unexpected. Nov purchase. TopCashBack has been 'nudged' many times, all to no avail. Very poor show. Value Basket: good prices, poor service. My son's 18th has been ruined, it is more than 2 weeks since I put in the order and the update has changed from Order placed to Order being prepared to In queue for dispatch Must be a very long queue Now it is saying there is a backlog and delays.

I am not happy! Rubbish seller. They charged me for 3 phones and did not send my stuff and did not cancel. Recoered my money through bank 20 Apr Report Abuse. Delivery was very late and I didn't get any cashback at all. Wouldn't recommend this site. Item not received. No communication. They wanted private personal data from me. Do not trust this merchant. I think they should be taken off topcashback. This is a fraudulent company. They don't deliver the product and they don't refund the money back when you ask for it.

Illegal traders, Didn't deliver order and are holding onto my money. I have a strong suspicion that this company does not hold any stock, they are based in Hong Kong but like to give the impression that they are based locally with London telephone numbers ported to Hong Kong.

I bought an Ipad from them, there website states orders are delivered within 5 days but waited 5 weeks before finally cancelling my order and buying the product from elsewhere. They have wasted loads of my time and constantly come up with pathetic excuses. Please stay clear and save yourself the hassle. After waiting weeks with no delivery we cancelled the order as this camera and lens' were bought to go on holiday with.

It has now been over 45 days and still no refund. I call at least twice a week but always get the same apology and multitude of excuses. We are now going through the credit card dispute process and have also forwarded all of our info to Citizens Advice and Trading Standards. I placed an order for a camera 3 weeks ago. The website specified that the item was in stock and would be dispatched with days. I am still waiting.

I have contacted them repeatedly to cancel and get a refund but they keep fobbing me off, making excuses and lying that my order is being dispatched or has been dispatched depending on whom I'm speaking to. They seem to be operating from Hong Kong. They are definitely not UK-based. I have contacted my bank to get a chargeback on my card as they are refusing to refund my money.

That company is to be avoided at all cost! I didn't ever receive the phone ordered from Value basket. My credit card was debited on the 15th May, but its now the 20th June, and I have received nothing but frustration with this purchase.

I have now cancelled the order, and am waiting for a refund, but even that is frustrating. Value basket offer free gifts if I will wait a little longer. Simply Electronics: Warning!!! Page 6 AVForums. I have notified the appropriate authorities in China of ValueBasket's behaviour.

I await their deliberations. I think they are inclined to execute people for this sort of stuff in order to create a favourable image in the West.

So that we don't send them contaminated milk powder in return. Last edited: Jan 25, Valuebasket is a fraud company, please visit TrustPilot to see its reviews, there are many people like me, who have suffered a totle loss when we pay, it never deliver, it never refund!

Johnny Noodles Novice Member. Sadly the "Simple' answer is NO! They can't be trusted. I am also reading that they are also guised as Simply Electronics. I hope not as I want to buy a phone off them. Simply Electronics I brought a phone of them 2 years ago with no issues. That's the beginning! I was upset with time taken and that it didn't have a UK charger just some cheap travel plug along with the Boxed Euro plug.

I demanded compensation for both items. We had many conversations back and forth their replies take around 3 days. During this time I tested the phone but didn't set it up with my personal data as, it was always on the cards I may need to return it, so it never left the house, as in it was still in new condition.

During the conversations I asked if they were using delay tactics, for my return period to end, they said no, and it's on record that I called on day one. A compensation amount was some what agreed only for them to then offer me a lower amount. This made me very angry so I demanded that I wish to send the item back for refund, they replied saying the original figure has already been credited to me. Giving up I took it, and started to use the phone, added 1 email account and my contacts and some MP3's, journey to work my songs kept cutting out, WHY!

Because the phone just kept rebooting when doing anything that requires processor power. Factory reset, software update, nope phone always rebooted when performing task such as adding multiple emails, facebook, installing larger apps, even trying to erase my data.

Valuebasket said I'm eligible for repair and sent me a form. Thankfully with all my email evidence my credit card company gave me back my money once I sent Valuebasket back their phone. Hope no one else get's it. In total whole thing took around 85 days to be resolved, and I still cautious that they may try and take from my card again. Mr D Novice Member. Don't touch them with a barge pole.
