We would just say GG yuk, take your hands out. We would also grab her nicely , roll her over and say what are they doing there, they go up here. We just drew attention away from what she was doing to distract her. If she went without doing it for the day we will reward her with a chocolate.

Children don't understand what sex is at that age if an adult is embarrassed by their child humping it's because THEY view it as a sexual act. It's the same as breast feeding in public. It's not a sexual act you are feeding your baby there should be no issue with it. My daughter has never humped anything while in public because it's something she generally does when she's tired or to sooth herself but if she did I wouldn't care.
